Acerca del Disco:

Planeta Paulina is Paulnia Rubio's fourth and final studio album she recorded with the EMI record label. With Planeta Paulina, Paulina once again gets a taste of the success she enjoyed with her debut studio album La Chica Dorada. It is the first album in which Paulina participates as both producer and songwriter. Once more Paulina collaborates with songwriters and producers Cesar Valle, C. Sánchez, Marco Flores, as well as Cesar Lemos, Karla Aponte, Maria Azevedo, K.C. Porter, Rodolfo Castillo, Thomas Grant, Graciela Carballo and Mario Pupparo. Planeta Paulina was one of the most successful albums that Paulina recorded under the EMI record label, giving Paulina not one but two number one hit singles on Mexican radio: "Siempre Tuya Desde la Raíz" and "Enamorada". For this album, Paulina adopted a sexier look and changed her musical style to one that heavily incorporated dance music. The majority of the tracks on the album are upbeat dance songs. This album is the second and final album to include an introduction at the beginning. Such was the success of Planeta Paulina, that EMI asked Paulina to record an English version of the album. Unfortunately, the English album never saw an official release. In 2001, however, EMI released a greatest hits compilation featuring English versions of "Enamorada" ("I'm So In Love"), "Solo Por Ti" ("Only For You"), and "Siempre Tuya Desde la Raíz" ("Open Up Your Heart") titled I'm So In Love: Grandes Éxitos. Most of the English album, however, remains without an official release.
